FAQ

Q1: Is Tritan safe?
A1: Yes, it is safe. Tritan is a copolyester material developed by Eastman. It has passed international food safety certifications such as the US FDA and the EU’s LFGB, is free from BPA and BPS, and is odourless. It is the most commonly used material for baby bottles and water bottles.

Q2: How does it differ from PC material?
A2: PC material may release BPA (bisphenol A) when exposed to high temperatures, posing a health risk. Tritan is free from BPA and BPS, has a wider temperature resistance range (-20°C to 100°C), offers greater transparency and is more impact-resistant.

Q3: Can I fill it with boiling water?
A3: Yes. It is heat-resistant up to 100°C, but we recommend waiting a moment before pouring in freshly boiled water. The body of the cup will feel hot to the touch, so we recommend using the handle or a cup sleeve.

Q4: Does it leak?
A4: The lid has a built-in silicone seal; when screwed or snapped shut, it will not leak when turned upside down. We recommend regularly checking that the seal is intact and ensuring it is fitted correctly after washing.

Q5: Is it dishwasher-safe?
A5: Yes. The Tritan material withstands high temperatures in the dishwasher, but we recommend placing it on the top rack. We recommend allowing the silicone ring on the lid to air dry after washing.

Q6: Does it retain odours? Does it smell strongly after holding coffee or tea?
A6: Tritan does not easily absorb odours. If washed promptly after holding coffee, tea or juice, it is unlikely to retain odours. For dark-coloured liquids, we recommend washing as soon as possible to avoid staining.

Q7: Is it easy to clean? Are there any hard-to-reach areas?
A7: The wide-mouth design allows you to reach inside with your hand, and when used with a cup brush, there are no hard-to-reach areas. The gaps in the lid can be cleaned with a straw brush.

Q8: Can it be used for fizzy drinks?
A8: Yes. However, please note that there may be a slight splash when opening the lid due to pressure; for screw-top lids, we recommend opening them slowly.
