A1: A luminous octagonal cup is an LED‑lit cup. It has an octagonal, faceted body. It features built‑in lighting at the base. The eight facets create a refractive effect.
Whilst standard round light‑up cups emit a uniform, soft glow, the facets of the octagonal cup refract and split the light. This creates a diamond‑like sparkle effect — which looks stunning in photographs. In terms of grip, the octagonal facets provide a non‑slip surface. This is unlike the smooth, slippery feel of round cups.

Q2: What is PS material? Is it safe?
A2: PS — polystyrene — is a food‑grade plastic. It is safe and non‑toxic. It is widely used in disposable tableware and cups.

• PS is approximately 50% lighter than glass — making it comfortable to hold.

• It is shatter‑resistant — making it safer for parties and outdoor use.

• High‑transparency PS offers clarity close to that of glass — ensuring a brilliant light effect.
  PS complies with FDA standards, is BPA‑free, and is safe for food contact. However, as PS has a heat resistance of approximately 70‑80°C, it is not recommended for use with boiling water.

Q3: Is the illuminated octagonal cup waterproof? How should it be cleaned?
A3: The cup body can be rinsed with water. However, the electronic components in the base are not waterproof and must not be submerged.
The correct cleaning method is as follows:

• Separate the base from the cup body — usually by unscrewing.

• Rinse the cup body with water as normal — adding washing‑up liquid if desired.

• Wipe the base with a damp cloth — do not rinse it.

• Reassemble once completely dry.
  Under no circumstances should the entire unit be submerged in water or placed in a dishwasher.

Q4: Can the illuminated octagonal cup hold hot water?
A4: We do not recommend using it for hot water. PS plastic has a heat resistance of approximately 70‑80°C. It is suitable for cold drinks — such as champagne, red wine, cocktails, and fizzy drinks.
It can be used briefly with warm water — below 70°C — but we do not recommend leaving it in the cup for long periods. Hot or boiling water may cause the cup to warp.

Q5: Is the glow‑in‑the‑dark octagonal cup durable? Will it shatter if dropped?
A5: PS material is far more impact‑resistant than glass. It is not prone to shattering. It can be reused dozens of times under normal use. This makes it ideal for parties, outdoor activities, and poolside settings.
However, PS may still crack under extreme impact. Avoid dropping it from a height onto a hard surface. Additionally, PS has average scratch resistance. Avoid using hard objects to scrub the surface when cleaning.
