Best Smelling Soy Wax Scented Candles in Tin Can
Soy wax scented candles are scented candles made from natural soy wax. Unlike traditional paraffin wax, which is derived from petroleum, soy wax is a plant-based wax extracted from soybean oil. It produces virtually no black smoke or harmful substances when burned, making it particularly suitable for households with pregnant women, children or pets.

FAQ
Q1: What is a soy wax scented candle? How does it differ from a standard paraffin wax scented candle?
A1: A soy wax scented candle is a scented candle made from natural soy wax. It also contains added plant‑based essential oils.
Key differences from paraffin wax scented candles:
| Characteristics | Soy wax scented candle | Standard paraffin wax scented candle |
|---|---|---|
| Raw materials | Extracted from natural soybean oil — renewable | Petroleum by‑product — non‑renewable |
| Burning | No black smoke — no harmful substances | May release trace amounts of harmful substances — such as toluene |
| Burn time | 30%‑50% longer than paraffin wax | Shorter |
| Environmental friendliness | Biodegradable | Non‑biodegradable |
| Suitable for | Pregnant women, children, and households with pets | Those with sensitivities should exercise caution |
Concept: Soy wax candles are “candles you can breathe easy with” — they burn cleanly, allowing you to enjoy them with peace of mind.
Q2: Is it normal for the surface of a soy wax candle to be uneven or cracked?
A2: This is completely normal. It is a natural characteristic of soy wax.
Reason: Soy wax has a low melting point and a high shrinkage rate. As it cools and solidifies, the surface and interior cool at different rates. This results in unevenness, cracks, holes, or the wax pulling away from the container. This is a normal characteristic of natural plant‑based wax — and does not indicate a quality issue.
Frosting / Sweating: The appearance of a white film or small oil droplets on the surface is caused by essential oil seepage — or changes in temperature and humidity. This does not affect usage.
Effect on use: The surface will re‑melt and smooth out the next time it is lit. These phenomena will disappear naturally.
Q3: Why can’t I smell the fragrance after lighting it?
A3: Possible causes and solutions:
Burning time too short: On first use, burn for at least 1 hour. This allows the surface to melt completely and form a wax pool — so that the fragrance can be fully released.
Room too large: Soy wax has a relatively gentle fragrance diffusion. It is suitable for small spaces of around 10‑15 square metres. In larger spaces, the scent will be diluted.
Olfactory fatigue: Prolonged exposure to a scented environment can cause the nose to “get used” to the scent. Simply leave the room for a short while and return — or ventilate the room from time to time.
Improper storage: Leaving the candle exposed to air or direct sunlight for long periods can cause the fragrance to evaporate. Remember to replace the lid when not in use.
Q4: How should soy wax candles be used and maintained?
A4: Correct usage ensures safety and longevity.
Before use:
Trim the wick to approximately 0.5 cm before each lighting.
Remove the black carbonised tip from the wick.
During use:
Burn for at least 1 hour on the first use — until the surface has completely melted to form a flat wax pool. This helps prevent the “tunnel effect.”
We recommend burning for 1‑4 hours per session — not exceeding 4 hours.
Place on a flat, heat‑resistant surface.
Keep away from curtains, draughts, and flammable materials. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
When extinguishing:
Use a candle snuffer or lid to extinguish — or tilt the wick into the melted wax to douse it.
Avoid blowing out — this may produce black smoke and an unpleasant odour.
Storage:
Keep the lid tightly closed when not in use — to prevent dust and the scent from escaping.
Store in a cool, dry place — away from direct sunlight.
Unopened, the product can be stored for approximately 3 years. Once opened, it is recommended to use within 6 months.
